If you are frustrated when installing old variants of applications like Whatsapp, Facebook, and Viber on iPhone 3G and 3GS, don’t be alarmed. For compatibility reasons and other problems, old apps will not work on both the old and new iPhone firmware. There is no need to shed tears, especially if you are a microscopic technician who knows you might have problems with the iPhone software. Here are some of the solutions that might work for you:
Install iTools
Download the latest version of iTools and install it on your PC. Alternatively, you can also use AltStore as another third-party application. Then connect your iPhone to your computer. It should appear in iTools. In the left sidebar of iTools – directly under your iPhone’s name – select the Program option. Now you should prepare your old applications for installation.
iPhone applications are known for growing .ipa. Two popular repositories for older people and free versions of applications are iPhonecake app cake and iPhone app lists. You have your favorite sources for .ipa files. Don’t be afraid to use them and find the essential apps. When you’re ready, drag and drop your iPhone apps into the app panel in the perfect iTools area. The apps are automatically configured.
Jailbreak Your iPhone
The “Break the Jail” function is located on Cydia on the home screen of your iPhone 3G or 3GS. Cydia contains tools that can interpret your iPhone as accepting third-party applications such as Appsync, as well as defective applications to install. Well, if your iPhone is in rooted, good and excellent. Jailbreak’s procedures on the iPhone do the job more or less the same way.
Install Cydia Appsync 4.X
In itself, a rooted iPhone with old iOS firmware does not allow the installation of third-party applications and mature versions. To solve this problem, a program called Appsync 4. Once set up in Appsync, you can get and install applications of your choice that exceed the limits of the iPhone. You will find some repositories related to Cydia where you can download and install Appsync.
To install Appsync, tap the Cydia application on your iPhone. Tap Manage. This will open the decision to select a repository of your choice—tap Add. You are now offered a search box in which you can enter your favorite storage. In this case, I used the iPhonecake repository. Enter the wiring font. Continue and tap Insert anyway. The selected repository will be installed. Depending on the availability of your inbox and Internet speed, this may take about a minute. Be sure to test the individual repositories if another one does not respond. Use resources, use editing, use editing, use paste, enter the URL of the iPhonecake cake.
When the iPhonecake installation is complete, return to Cydia>Administration > Resources. Your new tab, Iphonecake, should be on the list. Please put it on top and then scroll down. Find the application in the list. If the repository looks clean, don’t worry. Change the sling and click on Update. The iPhone cake repository should fill up soon, and you will be ready to go. The chosen application must be compatible; for example, Appsync 4.0+ should manage with separate IOS 4X firmware versions.
